DAY 1: SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA
Arrival at the Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose. Once in the main exit of the International Airport and you will be meet and greet by a Swiss Travel representative, he will give you the necessary documentation to start with your vacations in this tropical country. Itinerary, pick up times and the details that you could need for your visit to Costa Rica will be explained becoming this moment the ideal to clarify all your hesitates and ask for recommendations. Day 2: SAN JOSE – TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK

Early in the morning, you will depart from San Jose Central Valley to the Tortuguero area. On the way, you will pass through the Braulio Carrillo National Park, a flora and fauna sanctuary covered by an emerald-green mass of vegetation. Besides, you will have the chance to see from the comfort of the bus, open pasture lands, small farming towns, and will also notice a change in the climate, as it becomes a bit warmer and humid but very pleasant.
After breakfast on the way, you will continue on your land transportation and observe the banana plantations next to the road, and if you have luck, you could observe the process of exportation. Also, the pastures and spots of forest are part of the landscape and sometimes you could observe a different type of animals moving in through the trees. Once in the dock, you will have the chance to relax enjoying a drink, a snack or a beer that you could buy locally. When the luggage is ready inside of your boat, prepare your camera because you will have the opportunity to take so many pictures of the canals, with their wildlife, crocodiles, aquatic birds and evergreen forest that will welcome you to this exotic destination, the paradise for nature lovers where the only way of transportation are the boats and the protection of the nature is essential to the inhabitants of the place and the tourist industry that is their main source of income. DAY 3: TORTUGUERO

Today the activities start very early and after take a cup of coffee and a cookie, you will take your boat and go to Tortuguero National Park Rangers Station, where your guide will buy the tickets to visit this protected reserve. The best time to see the wildlife is very early in the morning when the animals look for their food and try to take the first lights of the morning to heat their body, for this reason you could observe different type of monkeys hanging off the branches, herons, kingfishers or egrets fishing the countless species find in these canals. Stay alert because some eyes could observe you from the middle of the vegetation, caimans hide of your boat and wait the ideal moment to return to the water, your guide will explain you about the species you will observe and make you enjoy the vegetation that surrounds you before return to enjoy the breakfast in your hotel. After some short rest, you will have the opportunity of discover the nature that surround the hotel with your professional guide, here you will have the chance of taking wonderful pictures of the forest and the landscapes of the canals that cross in front of the hotel, ending with a healthy lunch that will make you recover your energies. DAY 4: TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK – ARENAL VOLCANO

Upon arrival, ground transportation will be provided to the area of Guapiles, where lunch will be served. Arrive at La Fortuna Village late afternoon where the mighty Arenal Volcano will welcome you with its impressive perfect conic shape. DAY 5: ARENAL VOLCANO

DAY 6: ARENAL VOLCANO – MANUEL ANTONIO
In the morning you will have your transfer from Arenal Volcano to the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. This transfer will take you from the Northern plains crossing the mountains that divide this country with the central valley where nature is next to you and amazing landscapes of rainforest and cloud forest decorate the environment of this route. Kindly observe carefully inside of the forest as you may find interesting wild life. After this passage, you will experience the cattle estates where the milk industry is very important for locals; this is demonstrated if you taste the cheese at local tortillas and a cup of high-quality Costa Rican coffee. After crossing this area, you will continue to San Ramon town where a Catholic church was imported from Germany in the 1940’s. Following this unique visit, you will continue passing through the mountains and observe the ocean from the highlands. A short photo break will be given as this location is an ideal spot to take some pictures, this mountain part of the trip is a section of the Pan American highway built by the American government with military proposes through the Second World War and if you take attention of the trees that surround the road, these cover the way in some sections, this is because the Germans could not detect the troops if they were hidden by the dense vegetation. After passing these hills, you will have amazing view of Pacific Coast after arriving in coastal highway where you will continue to Manuel Antonio beach and before arrive at this unique spot, you will pass by two main touristic areas, Jacó, home of World Cup of Surfing on 2009 and well known for the practice of this activity. Also, you will pass by Quepos town, a traditional fishermen village that changed with the tourism industry offering restaurants, banks, supermarkets and many other facilities close to Manuel Antonio beach. Once in Manuel Antonio, you will observe the variety of restaurants and entertainment centers that surround the area, always with the beautiful views of the Pacific Coast. The Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the icons of eco-tourism in our country, offering enchanting white-sand beaches ideal for swimming, and tropical rainforest forest full of with wildlife, there you can watch for monkeys and iguanas. The immense variety of things to do and places to visit in one single day in the area will definitely add all the value to your experience in this blessed land in a lush tropical place. You will stay the next two nights at Arenas del Mar in Manuel Antonio area.
DAY 7: MANUEL ANTONIO
Today, you will have the breakfast at the hotel and after a short time to rest in the restaurant of the hotel or in your room, your bilingual guide will be waiting for you in the lobby of the hotel. Here your driver will take you to transfer to Manuel Antonio National Park main entrance where, after buying the tickets you will start to enjoy the nature of this National Park, the smallest in Costa Rica that contains a charming combination of exuberant tropical forest and gorgeous beaches with clear waters. Its habitats are beach vegetation, lagoons, mangrove swamps but with a lot of wildlife to observe with 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds that could appear at any moment, some of this species of mammals that you can observe are the sloths with their slow movements to catch the best Leafs, their favorite meal or just resting looking like big balls in the middle of the trees, this slow movements contrast with their skills to swim very fast. Another curiosity of this mammal is that just defecates once in the week and descending from the tree, making a hold in the land, depositing the excrement there, covering it with earth or Leafs and changing the tree, this to do not be detected by predators. Also, the white-faced monkeys are very common here very close to humans, jumping and playing between them, this is ideal for your pictures of the place and one of the main attractions of the park. One of the trails that are highly recommended is the waterfall path that takes you to a pure water cascade that decorates the place with its impressive view like copied from a storybook.
